Storm smashes Japan's space center; 130,000 Kyushu homes are still without electricity

Two people were killed and more than 100 were injured when a tropical storm that dumped torrential rain as it crossed Japan made its way into the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday. The storm also paralyzed transportation and left thousands of houses without power.

Typhoon Nanmadol struck southern Japan over the weekend before weakening as it headed north, and further damage has since been discovered there.
