SK HYNIX CREDITED WITH WORLDS FIRST DDR5 CHIP

• South Korean memory chipmaker SK Hynix informed Tuesday that the company will launch the fifth generation of DRAM chips. SK Hynix is credited with being the first company to roll out with DDR5 chips.
• Compared to its predecessor DDR4, the latest innovation is 1.8 times faster and consumes 20 percent less power, making it ideal for big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
