Portugal to decriminalize all substance use in the RI through an aggressive treatment strategy

As the U.S. continues to fight the opioid crisis, Rhode Island is looking at how it is treated by other nations.

Through the COBRE Center at Rhode Island Hospital, the Drug Czar in Portugal was invited to Brown University to show policymakers and medical professionals how the dramatically different strategy of the nation seems to make a difference.
