Plans for Australia's only methanol plant to be built in Darwin Harbour

A $500 million methanol plant with the capability to supply 1,000 tonnes every day of the chemical will begin operating by 2024 in the Darwin Harbour.

Western Australian company Coogee has proclaimed a new practicability study for a methanol plant in Darwin placed within the Middle Arm industrial district in Darwin.

A previous, similar study by another company ten years ago failed in construction
