Japan’s agriculture ministry confirmed the outbreak of classical swine flu (CSF) in the Okinawa prefecture. This is the first occurrence of CSF in the prefecture in 33 years. The last outbreak of CSF in Okinawa took place in autumn of 1986. The previous occurrence of CSF in the country was in the Gifu prefecture in September 2018, after a gap of 28 years.
The disease was first suspected to have originated from a piggery located....
