Israel and the United Arab Emirates have signed their first free trade agreement with an Arab country

On Tuesday, Israel and the United Arab Emirates signed a free trade agreement, the first of its kind between the two countries.

In a pact negotiated by the United States in 2020, the UAE agreed to reestablish relations with Israel, the first of the so-called Abraham Accords that Israel eventually signed with four Arab countries. Since then, the two countries have increased collaboration in a variety of areas.
