How Anthony Albanese came to support PNG's audacious attempt to join the NRL as the 18th team

At a photo opportunity for the media before a bilateral meeting, Mr Marape told Mr Albanese that rugby league was a part of PNG's national culture as part of the formalities offered for the cameras.

He stated, "We have to consider a PNG squad in the NRL someday, and perhaps one from the Pacific as well.
