Conspiracies about replacement gunmen are making their way into mainstream politics

Critics find connections between the trend of racist gunmen stating fears of a plan to "replace" Whites and the language promoted by Fox News and some Republican politicians.

The mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, on Saturday was not the first time in recent years that a White gunman targeted the Black or immigrant community after reportedly posting a White nationalist manifesto online.
