Anna Netrebko, once one of the Metropolitan Opera's greatest box office draws, filed a lawsuit against the company and its general manager Peter Gelb on Friday, alleging defamation, breach of contract, and other violations in relation to the institution's decision to drop her after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
