After Tihar rows, the DG (Prisons) shuffled out

Sandeep Goel, Director General (Prisons), resigned on Friday after being hounded by problems in Tihar involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Satyendar Jain. Sanjay Baniwal, an IPS officer from the 1989 batch, has been appointed as the new DG (Prisons).
