A more active approach to weight reduction, cholesterol, and inequities is advised in diabetes management

The American Diabetes Association published revised guidelines of care on Monday to reflect advances in technology, improved drugs, and a better knowledge of the social variables that influence illness and diabetes management.

The guidelines are updated on an annual basis, but this year there are over 100 new or amended recommendations impacting all forms of diabetes.
